Mr. KP Mpharalala is the founder of KPME consulting Engineers in 2015 April and currently is Managing Director of the firm.

He has been working in the field of Civil engineering contract administration, design and supervision over two decades (20 years). In 2002 he joined G & C Consulting Engineers and spent three and half years specialising in roads and water projects (feasibility study, scoping report, design, tender document preparation and Project management).

In 2005 he joined Roucomm Systems Construction as a site agent. During his three years there, he rose to the position of contract manager and gained a significant exposure to various projects in the company. The major project was the link road between South Africa and Botswana via Bray corridor (Tosca to Bray boarder gate).  His focus was project planning and monitoring, project analysis, production cost analysis, contract administration and supervision

In 2008 June he joined Nhlengani Consulting Engineers as Office Manager for the branch of the company. He spent year running the office projects both water and roads projects. The focus area was Project investigation, scope of work report, Detail design report, design, tender document preparation and contract Management.

In 2009 June he joined FT consultant as Project Manager specific for Siyenza manje program facilitated by Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). He spent three years working in Umjindi Local Municipality (current known as Mbombela) as Project Manager capacitating the Municipality project unit section. The focus area was to register the projects, water technical report preparation and presented to Department of water affairs for approval, monitoring implemented projects and facilitating meeting with service providers (Contractor and Consulting Engineers).

In 2012 he joined Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality as an Assistant Director Water and Sanitation. During his six years spent there, he rose to the position of Technical Director for technical services section and gained significant exposure to various sectors in the department (Electrical section, Roads and Storm water section, Building Section, PMU section, Water and Sanitation section). The focus area was to ensure that the basic services are rendered to the community in effective and efficient manner. He was specialising in office administration, planning new infrastructure projects, maintenance and operation of existing infrastructure, development of maintenance plans of infrastructure, policies development and contract management.
